چکیده

Functional genome profiling of Murrah buffaloes ( Bubalus bubalis ) was performed for milk-production trait by whole blood transcriptome analysis comparing RNA-seq data assembled from high and low milk producing multiparous (5 -6 parity) animals. These reflected the genetic merit inherited as daughters born to extremely high- low-end bulls evaluated under a progeny testing scheme ranked estimated breeding value. The average standard yield (SMY) over 305 d during parity recorded 2909.50L ± 492.63 1869.57 189.36L in low-performance buffaloes, respectively. “reference” assembly libraries group (n=16), comprising animals different physiological states. Replicates selected within each category showed correlation coefficient order (R2=0.98) while with `reference' assembly. sequence mapped Mediterranean water buffalo genome, revealed differentially expressed genes (DEGs) distinctly depicted via heat maps volcano plots obtained two categories animals, determining more than 25,000 Cufflink analysis. Estimates of genetic parameters for fat yield in Murrah buffaloes

AIM The present study was performed to investigate the effect of genetic and non-genetic factors affecting milk fat yield and to estimate genetic parameters of monthly test day fat yields (MTDFY) and lactation 305-day fat yield (L305FY) in Murrah buffaloes. MATERIALS AND METHODS The data on total of 10381 MTDFY records comprising the first four lactations of 470 Murrah buffaloes calved from 1...

Estimation of genetic parameters of weekly test-day milk yields and first lactation 305-day milk yield in Murrah buffaloes

Aim: The aim was to estimate genetic parameters of weekly test-day (TD) milk yields and first lactation 305-day milk yield (FL305DY) in Murrah buffaloes. Materials and Methods: The data on 39059 weekly test-day milk yield (WTDY) records during first lactation of 961 Murrah buffaloes calved from 1977 to 2012 and sired by 101 bulls maintained in an organized farm at National Dairy Research Instit...

Genetic parameters for stayability in Murrah buffaloes.

In order to contribute to the breeding programmes of Asian water buffalo, the aim of this study was to analyse the influence of genetic effects in the stayability of Murrah dairy buffaloes. The stayability trait (ST) was defined as the female's ability to stay in the herd for one (ST1), two (ST2), three (ST3), four (ST4), five (ST5) or six years (ST6) after the first calving. The same trait was...

Effect of milking behavior on circulatory hormones and milk production in lactating Murrah buffaloes

The effect of milking temperament on plasma hormones, metabolites, milk yield and composition in lactating Murrah buffaloes was studied. Animals were selected from the institute herd and grouped as docile and nervous buffaloes, based on temperament score before and during milking. Blood sampling times were; before milking (-20 min.), after concentrate intake, after teat massage, during milking ...

Estimates of genetic parameters for total milk yield over multiple ages in Brazilian Murrah buffaloes using different models.

The objective of this study was to estimate variance components and genetic parameters for accumulated 305-day milk yield (MY305) over multiple ages, from 24 to 120 months of age, applying random regression (RRM), repeatability (REP) and multi-trait (MT) models. A total of 4472 lactation records from 1882 buffaloes of the Murrah breed were utilized. The contemporary group (herd-year-calving sea...
